Good Location-nice beach-some glitches
Date:December 19, 2013
Best things about resortLocation, beach and bellman. The staff was friendly and always had a smile and a good morning. The beach is calm and there are plenty of lounge chairs and shade.
Best attractions or restaurants nearbyLots of restaurants.Easy bus ride to Walmart to buy food.
ReviewWe recently returned from this resort and the rooms could use an upgrade. Our studio was small with a barely adequate kitchen area. Our chairs had stains and the bathroom simply needed to be refurbished. On the first night I saw that my sheets were clearly washed but were stained. I asked three times to have them changed and noted that no one ever wrote it down. They were not changed. We left early due to weather, no fault of the facility obviously. It was so rainy and windy one of the evenings that we were reluctant to venture out. Our only option for food was the one"outdoor" restaurant or room service. I asked if we could simply pick uour dinner up to go and was told that we had to use room service. Given the abysmal weather conditions I thought that some flexibilty was in order. The answer was no and we ate cereal and fruit in our room. On principle we were not going to order from the exorbidantly expensive room service menu. I would also advise that the lobby should choose to have either the television sports on or the music. Having both on the same time made for a rather noisy scene.

Lovely Resort...Excellent Location
Date:April 5, 2012
Best things about resortEverything was best about this resort. It was well maintained, the service was excellent. The beach!!!!
Best attractions or restaurants nearbyEl Sombrero restaurant was really good and reasonably priced. Mextreme had good food and entertainment. Very fun
ReviewI would highly recommend this resort. It was close to shopping and lots of restaurants. The restaurant at the resort was OK...somewhat small portions. The room was lovely...however the noise from the next room and the hallway was a bit loud. There was an elevator. The view from the room was amazing. The 15 pesos for water was a bit steep so we took the bus to Walmart and bought twice the amoung for only 10 pesos. Also 25 pesos for 2 cups of coffee in the room was too much. We just bought instant or you could buy regular coffee and use the coffee maker in the room. Having the fridge and microwave and all the dishes was very helpful. We could have snacks in the room. Great shower and lots of hot water. The beach was sandy, had lots of chairs and really good swimming. The little market in the lobby was great for snacks and breakfast items. I would highly recommend this resort for anyone who is not wanting an all inclusive

Great Location

Best things about resortLocation & Beach
Best attractions or restaurants nearbyWalking distance to several restaurants and bars.
ReviewWe have returned to this resort several times only because of it's location. Everything is close by and the beach is calm. Also, the bus is nearby to get anywhere else. If you are looking for a 5 Star resort, this is not it! Rooms are bare minimum and every time we've been there we always had some knind of problem being it plumbing, electrical, etc. This is bareley a 3-Star and
the waiters in the beach restaurant hardly speeak English. But like I said, location, location, location..

Peaceful resort in good location
Date:February 18, 2009
Best things about resortResort is small and personal when compared with the mega complexes nearby. Good location for shopping and entertainment. Seas calmer in this area with great view of Isla Mujares. NOT all-inclusive as we hate this, did have a good meal discount plan though and food for breakfast was very good. Employees with longevity at resort.
Best attractions or restaurants nearbyMany restaurants and a shopping mall within walking distance. We really enjoyed Mextreme restaurant with good food and some entertainment. Captain Charlies had wonderful beer battered shrimp. Buses easy to catch to go anywhere downtown or in the hotel zone
ReviewWe really enjoyed the personal service you receive at a smaller resort like this. No, I do not believe it is a 5 star but I enjoyed it more than many of the 5 stars I have been to. We were able to upgrade easily from a studio to a 1 bedroom unit and the unit was very comfortable. The beds in Mexico are always hard, but the staff located a eggcrate to make us more comfortable. The balconies are very small but there are 2, we had a beautiful view from the 5th (top) floor. Contrary to other reviews that I read, there is a nice hot tub on the grounds, cabanas on the beach, a water activity center run by Aquaworld who is very professional, they did not push time-share presentations on us, no security issues, in fact the management left me a note when the maid notified them that I was leaving valuables out (a watch). The water in the hotel is too chlorinated to drink. Take your own DVD's as there are only 5 TV stations that have English sometimes. We really had a great time here, although because they are so small they don't have a lot of organized activities at the hotel, but they are very willing to help you find what you want/need. I recommend a stay here if you want to relax.

Not what I expected for a SUPPOSEDLY 5 star resort
Date:September 15, 2008
Best things about resortMaid service was good. Front desk personnel were courteous. Everyone was friendly - with the exception of the 2 or 3 waiters/bartenders out by the PALAPAS by the beach.
Best attractions or restaurants nearbyExcaret park & Mayan ruins nearby. Shopping centers nearby. Bars & Discos nearby. Local buses right outside the resort for easy transportation to all parts of Cancun.
ReviewNot what I expected for 5-star resort. Our room had a few problems upon arrival: Thermostats (2) didn't work properly, Balcony door did NOT LOCK properly,
The Jacuzzi didn't work properly(started but could Not be shut off ), the in-room safe 1st would not lock, was exchanged, and then the New one would NOT open afterward ( with my money & documents inside ) because of "LOW BATTERIES". On day # 2 we changed rooms: the Jacuzzi in the second room did not even have a start button. Other than that, everything was OK. Definitely not a 5 star resort.
