Best things about resortviews, cleanliness, quaint, beach, restaurants, location
ReviewNot as spectacular as the Rose or the Sunset, but if you want a quiet and peaceful place this is great. Nice clean, if not modern rooms, beds are not as comfortable as the Rose or Sunset! The vendors on the beach will drive you crazy if you let them....just ignore them and they will go away. I love this place, but my friends all the staying at the Rose or the Sunset because they are newer with fantastic spas. I ilke the the original Blanco myself.

Great Resort

Best things about resortLocation! 1) great proximity to downtown Cabo, marina, bars, restaurants, shopping (10 min walk) and 2) right on the beach. Almost all rooms have a great ocean view (1st floor views are blocked by landscaping. Get there early on your check in day to request a room with a view).
Best attractions or restaurants nearbyLos Desos (authentic Mexican at the Marina); Baja Cantina (Mexican food on beach) and Mariscos Mazatlan (seafood in town). Whale watching on La Princesa catamaran. Cabo Wabo...Sammy Hagar's tequila bar.
ReviewOf the 10 or so RCI resorts I have stayed at, this is by far the best. Great location, great views from balcony, daily maid service, friendly staff, great pool and facilities. It truly felt like a top notch resort vacation. We also saw the 2 other Pueblo Bonito resorts (Rose next door and Sunset 15 min away) and while they might be slightly nicer I prefer Los Cabos (called Blanco by the locals) because of the location (Sunset is 15 min drive from town and Rose is set back further from the ocean). The most helpful info I recieved from prior reviews is: 1. Book your airport transportation before you go and ignore all other offers for transportation at the airport until you find they guy with your sign (usually outside). My friend was scammed at the airport and lost $40. 2. Tons of people will ask you to do the Timeshare tour of Pueblo Bonito Sunset...especially on your first day...it was basically a feeding frenzy! All staff are incented with $40 for each tour they book. While it is annoying, we did end up finding the perks worthwhile. Negotiate with them. The best offer we found was $200 towards food at the resort, $100 towards Spa and a whale watching tour. The tour of Sunset took 4 hours which was a pain (although if you are very clear you aren't buying we heard others got out in 1.5 hours), but it was a beautiful resort and we enjoyed the perks the rest of the week. 3. We stayed up at the pool and rarely went down to the beach as there are constant peddlers down there who constantly pester you to buy...sort of ruins the beach experience. The resort ropes off a private beach, but they still lean over. Between the beach peddlers, the timeshare sellers and the people trying to get you to come into their restaurant or buy their jewlry in the Marina, it got a little annoying and overwhelming, but we tried to not let it ruin the charm of Cabo. 4. A 10 minute cab drive from the resort are 2 amazing shops where I think all of the town shops get their merchandise. 1) The Glass Factory where you can watch them make glass until 2pm and all glass wear is really reasonable and 2) Artesano (across the busy road from the Wal-Mart). This shop had GREAT silver, glasswear, ceramics, wood work, and funky artsy stuff...much of which we saw in the markets for much more. 5. The bakery aisle at Wal-mart. It may sound cheesy but you can get some of the best mexican baked goods here for really cheap, including homemade tortillas! 6. The exchange rate at the airport was much worse than anywhere else. The rate at the hotel and even in the shops was much better. In cabs and in stores, always ask how much it is in $ then in pesos. If you are quick with math you can pick the one that is cheapest.
