Best things about resortView of West Maui Mountains

ReviewI have stayed here twice, the last time was July of 2009. This is not a fancy resort, but it has been cleaned up since I was here in 2003. The resort has very few timeshare units, most are used as rental apartments. The grills and pool are nice, but I spend little time at the resort since there is no beach here. The units are comfortable and clean, but it is no luxury resort. The best feature, and the reason I go back, is the view from the balcony. The property to the north is just an empty lot. This means you can sit on the balcony and view the West Maui Mountains over the water. Gorgeous! Many fancy resorts have lots of rooms and no views. I'll take this any day!

Lovely Ocean View Date: May 6, 2008
Best things about resortView from the bedroom, Ocean side of Kihei strip
Best attractions or restaurants nearbyOceanview

ReviewOn ocean side of street in Kihei. Not a swimable beach. Seaweed often decorates the beach with ocean smells but the view from the units can be spectacular. The units are older not luxurious compared to Marriott properties(Ko Olina, my basis of comparison on Oahu) but ocean front property beats some of the other properties on Maui with the road or other buildings in the way. If you want an ocean view with moderate accommodations it is a property I have stayed at with my young 4yr old child. I love to stare at the ocean from my balcony & bedroom.
