Best things about resortThe view, wildlife, quiet, lots to do.
Best attractions or restaurants nearbyDowntown Harrisonburg had a farmer's market, craftsman, historic reenactment event that was fun. Lots of great places to eat.

ReviewWe've owned at Massanutten since around 1995 (first Eagle Trace and now The Summit). This trade was with a bonus week that was about to expire. Shenandoah Villas are old - they have added new siding to the outsides of the buildings with looks great. The insides - countertops, carpet, TVs, furniture, etc. really needs an update. We had a 1br 1 ba 4/4 which had a queen bed and a sleep sofa. The bed was OK, but bring your own pillow, they have the thick foam kind that put a real kink in my neck. Our deck had a spectacular view of the valley, loved having morning coffee and evening wine out there. LOTS of steps to the unit!

Best things about resortthe best thing about the resort is the friendliness of the other vactioners and the units.
Best attractions or restaurants nearbygood restaurants are not very close by about 25miles to good food.

ReviewOur famiily fell in love with the unit, the unit was very clean and very big. Loved seeing all the wild animals and enjoyed the activities, there is lots of things to do but some are pricy. They have a activity card but there really isnt any saving if you buy it unless your going to do a lot of different things. The people who vacationed there are nice and you feel like you live in a community. The service was ok but it was hard to reach customer service on the phone. Internet is available, and there is beautiful views of the mountains and the rsort at the top of hill.

Best things about resortMountain Setting, Waterpark, Mini Golf

ReviewShenandoah Villas are spacious, rustic and comfortable, but they do not have the luxuries like the other Massanutten units -- Eagle Trace (townhouse), Woodstone Meadows, and the Summit. However, this was perfect for our recent getaway with our niece and her children (ages 2 and 5). They took the downstairs bedroom and we took the upstairs bedroom – this provided privacy for my husband and me, and for them. The kids loved the Waterpark, and my niece particularly enjoyed the view at Lookout point and the walks throughout the resort. We frequently travel to Massanutten because its only 2.5 hours from home and depending on the number of people in our party, we exchange to the various accommodations at Massanutten. Our niece and her kids loved it. We’ve already planned another trip to Massanutten in September.

ReviewThe resort itself was nice and we enjoyed the area but the unit was terrible. They have a terrible layout if you have small children. When you walk into the unit you are on the 2nd level and the living room and kitchen are on that level. One bedroom in on the third floor and the other bedroom is on the first. If you have small children then you are too far away from them. There are also doors to go outside in each of the bedrooms. The bathrooms are also on the 1st and 3rd floor and you constantly are going up and down stairs. Our unit was musty smelling and they need to be updated.
