Wide variety of hiking trails, we went looking for Elk.
ReviewThe rooms were older but clean and neat. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of fun, rec area things to do, we love racquetball and playing pool. My Husband enjoyed the hot tub. Was very happy the resort enforced the rule of no unsupervised children under the age of 14.
Best things about resortLocation, mini golf, hot tub
Best attractions or restaurants nearbylots of hiking and forest roads to explore
ReviewOur visit was just my wife and myself without kids. We have 3 grown kids and would say that this is not a kid friendly resort. For just us 2 it was very good. Resort has some dated issues but overall is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. There are a lot of hiking trails and forest roads you can explore if you like doing that. There is a very good 18 hole mini golf on site at no cost that we played almost every day. There is indoor pool, hot tub, basket ball court, racquetball court, work out room, and couple pool tables. We were there over the December holidays and was fairly quiet. Strongly recommend to have a vehicle to explore the area and beyond.
Best things about resortMany kid-friendly activities that allow energy expenditure. Wonderful jacuzzi and heated pool. Close to stores.
Best attractions or restaurants nearbySki runs, lakes, hiking, forests, antiques, ethnic restaurants, grocery stores.
ReviewProvides many opportunities for family fun both on the grounds and in the surrounding areas. The railroad theme is appealing since that mode of transport is no longer common. The grounds are safe for children to walk around and explore.
