Great Location..Comfortable unit.

Best things about resortThe location is great. It's an easy walk into town. It's just across the street from the Royal Kona Resort and Huggo's.
Best attractions or restaurants nearbyMagic Sands beach was fun. Try Johnny Reyes restaurant. It was fantastic. We watched the sunset from Royal Kona and Huggos both places have excellent drinks and you can't beat the view.

ReviewI was a bit scared after reading some of the reviews but, I decided to book Billfisher anyway. The unit isn't fancy and is a bit dated. If you are looking for fancy look elsewhere. However, our unit was clean and well maintained. The TV is small but, it's Hawaii...we weren't there to watch TV. We didn't have any issues with the staff. They were all very friendly. They are strict about the check in time. No early check in. We did not need to pay for the AC. The fans were enough to keep it comfortable.

ReviewWe arrived after traveling for 12 hours straight. At check-in she says "Can you come back tomorrow". Then she says, "can you come back Monday"! I told her our check-in date was Friday (it's now Saturday about 12:00). She says "My computer is downloading something, you'll need to come back in 20-30 minutes". I came back after an hour and got checked in. She has the nerve to tell me "you know we don't allow check-ins until 3:00 you're lucky I let you in". No apology or explaination of what the computer was downloading.

The we get to the room and it's run down, dirty, and doesn't have anything. It has a little TV (maybe 18"), no DVD player, no hair dryer, and the AC costs $10+ per day to use. The Wifi is so slow it's unusable.

The resort only got worse after that. They were rude. They actually called us on Tuesday and said "you haven't checked in yet, you need to check in now". They are so confused, they didn't even know I checked in. How would I get the key to the room if I didn't check in?

I highly recommmend you find anywhere else to stay besides this resort. I have been on hundreds of vacations, and this is by far the worst one ever.

well maintained facilities close to town

Best things about resortright in town, but a little too close to an all night disco.Light sleepers may have trouble sleeping with the background music. 4 Weber gas bbq's on premises.
Best attractions or restaurants nearbythe water is across the street. You can walk into town where all the restaurants and markets are. Can't beat the weather

ReviewTher are a lot of other luxury condos up and down the coast, but if you can exchange for this unit, take it. It is worth it. Accomodations are well kept, the kitchen facilities are excellent for Breakfasts. 4 BBQ grills with propane on site. The Ocean is across the street, but beaches are at least a mile away. The center of town with restaurants, bars, markets are a few steps down the road. So you can eat in a different one every night. Only problem is an all-night disco bar that is about 200 yards away that goes til 2AM. Light sleepers will have a problem sleeping. The whole facility of 20 buildings is cramped. They have no groundsto speak of except the pool area.

Reviewthis is a dump. it should never be three stars. staff was horrible at check in and things went downhill from there. they have not spent a dime since the last episode of Hawaii 5-0 was filmed. Mold in bathroom. Kitchen appliances (stove/fridge) from the Johnson administration. Kitchen implements from the local Goodwill (and I don't mean to disparage Goodwill). They have a quiet time at 10, which is when the loud band across the street pipes up, TIL 2 IN THE MORNING!!!

this should be expelled from RCI for failure to maintain units. The exterior of the lot was ok, but they have signs not to walk on the driveway (?). the owners voted to elilminate pool towels cuz of the laundry cost, If you are familar with "Master of the House" from Les Mis, you have the picture of this hovel.
